We look at what you send and confirm that it is one book. If it will need two volumes, we tell you before starting the second. First, we prepare the digital master. You review it on screen; what you approve is the file used for print.

What the $499 covers — and what it does not.
Inside the $499
- Intake and conversion of usable photos or scans.
- Copyedit and preparation to house standard — not ghostwriting or rewriting your life story.
- One cover concept, refined once.
- Interior typesetting and a print-ready PDF (paperback; a hardcover file if the length allows).
- ISBN and barcode, an online proof, and one round of small corrections after proof.
Separate or not included
- Printed copies and shipping; these are quoted after you approve the digital master.
- Extensive rewriting or unreadable photo sets.
- A second volume, if the work is still about 800 pages or more after typesetting. We stop and quote that volume separately at $499.
The book is in your name by default. It appears under the house imprint only if you sign for that. A voice note is not a signature.
Printing is a later decision.
The $499 is for preparation of one book’s digital master, not printed copies. If you want copies, we will quote print and shipping after you approve the digital master. The figures below are a guide only, in USD, for a 6 × 9 inch book with a black-and-white interior and colour cover.
